WHO MAY OBTAIN MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN COLORADO?

Patients must possess written documentation from their physician affirming that he or she suffers from a debilitating condition and advising that they "might benefit from the medical use of marijuana." (Patients must possess this documentation prior to an arrest.)

APPROVED MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

Cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS positive, cachexia; severe pain; severe nausea; seizures, including those that are characteristic of epilepsy; or persistent muscle spasms, including those that are characteristic of multiple sclerosis. Other conditions are subject to approval by the Colorado Board of Health.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION AND CULTIVATION IN COLORADO:

Grow for yourself.  Up to 6 plants, no more than 3 in the flowering stage.  May possess up to 1 oz. of marijuana at a time. 

MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES IN COLORADO:

 "The Colorado Medical Marijuana amendment, statutes and regulations are silent on the issue of dispensaries."  Most of the major cities have droves of fully operating dispensaries, (SEE OUR COLORADO DISPENSARY LISTINGS) search for a retail outlet near you

HOW TO OBTAIN MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN COLORADO:

State law DOES NOT require the patient to apply for a Medical Marijuana Registry identification card;  although, to avoid harassment- we highly recommend it!  At time of application, the patient may provide a "primary care-giver", who upon approval, "controls the acquisition of such medical marijuana and the dosage and frequency of its use by the patient". The state registry is confidential, and state law enforcement may only contact the registry to verify patients and care-givers.
