WHO`S ELIGIBLE IN WASHINGTON?

Patients who possess "valid documentation" from their physician affirming that he or she suffers from a debilitating condition and that the "potential benefits of the medical use of marijuana would likely outweigh the health risks."
 

 

APPROVED MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

Cachexia; cancer; HIV or AIDS; epilepsy; glaucoma; intractable pain (defined as pain unrelieved by standard treatment or medications); and multiple sclerosis. Other conditions are subject to approval by the Washington Board of Health.

 

WASHINGTON`S MMJ PROGRAM:

State law DOES NOT require the patient to apply for a Medical Marijuana Registry identification card;  although, to avoid harassment- we highly recommend it!  At time of application, the patient may provide a "primary care-giver", who upon approval, "controls the acquisition of such medical marijuana and the dosage and frequency of its use by the patient". The state registry is confidential, and state law enforcement may only contact the registry to verify patients and care-givers.

 

POSSESSION AND CULTIVATION LIMITS:

 Grow for yourself.  State law allows patients or designated providers to grow up to a 60-day supply of marijuana;  with a physician's recomendation, the 60-day limit can increase above the normal limits.  The official 60-day supply is up to 15 plants and 24 usable ounces.
 

 

MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES IN WASHINGTON:

Dispensaries are not allowed.  However, the patient may designate a provider to grow medical marijuana;  the provider may only grow for one patient at a time.

 

 

HOW TO OBTAIN WASHINGTON REGISTRY ID CARDS

 

Costs: Since there is no Registry in Washington, There is no state fee.
 

Fee your doctor charges for recommendation visit (typically $100-$150)
 

Accepts other states' registry ID cards? No
